Jira Opener Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

Jira Opener is a lightweight Chrome extension designed to help users quickly open, copy, pin, and manage Jira work item links using locally saved Jira site profiles and shortcuts.

Information the extension stores

Jira Opener stores settings locally in the user's browser using Chrome's local extension storage. This may include:

Data collection

Jira Opener does not collect, sell, transmit, or share user data with any external service.

The extension does not send Jira site URLs, work item keys, pinned items, recent items, quick links, or settings to the developer or to any third-party server.

Local storage only

All extension settings are stored locally in the user's Chrome browser using chrome.storage.local. Users may export their settings to a local JSON file and import that file later if they choose.

Permissions

Jira Opener requests limited Chrome permissions for the following purposes:

Remote code

Jira Opener does not use remote code. All extension code is included in the installed extension package.

Third-party services

Jira Opener does not integrate with external analytics, tracking, advertising, or telemetry services.

User control

Users can remove locally stored Jira Opener data by deleting profiles, clearing pinned or recent work items, importing replacement settings, or uninstalling the extension from Chrome.
